The Future Holiday Island - Session 2

On Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 9:00 a.m. in the Clubhouse Ballroom, Mayor Kees will present information and lead a discussion on whether Holiday Island should pursue establishing a police department.

This is the second presentation in a planned series examining the future of Holiday Island and the potential phase-out of the Suburban Improvement District (SID).

The first presentation, a feasibility study exploring the city taking over all SID functions, was held on May 2, 2026. The study is available on the City of Holiday Island website at www.cityofholidayisland.com under the About/Contact/Services section.

The decisions discussed in this series could have a lasting impact on the future of Holiday Island, including the services provided to residents and how those services are governed. Every resident is encouraged to attend, become informed, ask questions, and participate in this important community conversation.
