The Regular Meetings of the BOZA shall be held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 6:00pm in the CITY HALL, 5 Forest Park Drive, Suite G, Holiday Island, AR. Public notice of the BOZA Regular Meetings and business to be carried on will be published in the Carroll County News at least one (1) time seven (7) days prior to the meeting.
Notice of BOZA Public Hearings, typically scheduled for 6:00pm, will be published in the Carroll County News at least one (1) time fifteen (15) days prior to the Public Hearing.
All BOZA hearings and meetings are open to the public (unless the Governor has declared an emergency that affects public meetings, such as happened with the Covid-19 pandemic). The public is invited to attend in person and participate during the designated Public Comments part of each Hearing and Meeting.

Section 26.03 POWERS AND DUTIES.
The Board of Zoning Adjustment shall have all the powers and duties prescribed by law and by these regulations, which are more particularly described as follows:
(A) Administrative review. To hear and decide appeals where it is alleged there is error in any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by administrative officers in the enforcement of these regulations. The Board of Zoning Adjustment may affirm or reverse, in whole or in part, said decision of the Administrative Official.
(B) To authorize upon appeal, in specific cases, such variance from the terms of this zoning chapter as will not be contrary to the public interest where, owing to special conditions, a literal enforcement of the provisions of these regulations would result in unnecessary hardship that would deprive the owner of any reasonable use of the land or building involved.
