FALL CLEAN-UP
Carroll County Solid Waste District will be holding the annual Holiday Island Fall
Clean-Up on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
This clean-up is a direct expense to the District therefore we will only pick up materials being disposed of by our customers. We do partner with the Carroll County Quorum Court and the County Judge to provide clean-up programs throughout the county and non-CCSWD customers are welcome to participate in those programs that are usually held in October, check our website for actual dates.
We ask you to stack the material to be disposed of in two separate piles. One pile would be for bulky waste such as furniture, mattresses, box springs, sinks, toilets, and dimensional lumber under 3 feet in length. The second pile would contain metal such as water heaters, washers, dryers, cookstoves, and bare metal.
There is a limit of 3 bulky items.
Items we will not pick up during the cleanup include:
- Household Trash
- Hazardous Waste such as car batteries, paint, and fluids.
- Tires
- Roofing Materials
- Appliances Containing Freon such as refrigerators and air conditioners.
- Electronics Including TV’s, VCR’s, DVD Players and computers
We do very much appreciate each of our customers and hope this special clean-up provides a convenient method of disposing of unwanted material.
