The City of Holiday Island (the City) and the Holiday Island Suburban Improvement District (HISID) have released a Long Range Plan, dated September 22, 2026, that outlines a transition of all HISID services to the City and the eventual phase-out of HISID. The plan has been endorsed by both the City Council and the HISID Board of Commissioners.

Printed copies are being mailed to full-time residents during the weeks of September 28 and October 5, 2026. Part-time residents and property owners who don't receive a mailed copy can read the plan online at cityofholidayisland.com by clicking on the Long Range Plan blue and white button located on the homepage.

This plan will shape how services are delivered in our community for years to come. We strongly encourage every resident and property owner to read it and share their thoughts.

Public meetings will be scheduled over 2-3 Saturdays in October 2026. Keep an eye on the City Meetings website page for upcoming dates. Comments can also be submitted by email, mail, the online website form, or at City Council and HISID meetings.
